Additional Three to Get Deadly (Stephanie Plum, No. 3) Information

Stephanie Plum, the brassy babe in the powder-blue Buick, has been given the unpopular task of finding Mo Bedemier, Trenton's most beloved citizen, arrested for carrying concealed and a no-show for his court appearance.

She's got big, blonde, black Lula, a former hooker turned file clerk -- now a wannabe bounty hunter -- at her side, sticking like glue. And Lula's itching to get the chance to lock up a crook in the trunk of her car.

Joe Morelli, the New Jersey vice cop with the slow-burning smile that undermines a girl's strongest resolve, is suddenly being polite. What gives? Might he be manipulating Steph, using her in his investigation, counting on her curiosity and competitive Jersey attitude?

Once again, the whole crew is in action, including Ranger and Grandma Mazur, searching for Mo, tripping down a trail of dead drug dealers, leading Stephanie to suspect Mo has traded his ice-cream scoop for a vigilante gun.

Cursed with a disastrous new hair color and an increasing sense that it's time to get a new job, Stephanie tumbles through Three to Get Deadly with all the high-speed hijinks her fans have come to love.

What Customers Say About Three to Get Deadly (Stephanie Plum, No. 3):

I will say that I'm not sure why some people are rabid fans of the series. I liked this one, probably because the annoying grandma took more of a backseat and focused more on, ya know, the lead character. I guess I'm weird like that. These are always a little far-fetched and this one was no different, but I had a lot of fun reading it to get there. I think perhaps you just get invested in the characters over time. It is a good series, light reading, and fun so I will continue making my way through the books.Definitely worth a read.

Ok, this is the 4th book I've read of the Stephanie Plum series and already I've noticed a predictable pattern. I had to make myself read this book just for the sake of finishing it. After which, Stephanie goes home, eats Pino's Pizza (many times with Morelli) or goes to her parents' house to eat, feeds Rex the hamster, takes a shower, sleeps, then gets up and does the same thing the next day.

Ms. The first couple of books I thought were ok, but now I realize there's a "formula" to Ms. I don't like it when there's basically the same things going on only with a few different characters thrown in.

The woman is supposed to be a trained bounty hunter, but as she's obviously pro-gun control and refuses to use her gun even when her very life is at stake, she ends up coming off like a character from the Keystone Cops instead. Plum's life is one continuous circle - goes after the errant FTA (failure to appears), most FTAs resist and either cop Joe Morelli or Rambo-ish professional bounty hunter Ranger has to come to her rescue and rather than being grateful, she gets all pissy about it. Then she and Lula, the former street ho turned file clerk (who does little filing, so you have to wonder how she keeps her job) get into some outrageously unbelieveable predicaments.

Evanovich's writing and I'm no longer interested in reading the rest of this series.

I would have loved this one to NOT be abridged. Love Stephanie Plum. I am catching up on the early days and this one did not disappoint me.

I always get it the day it comes out (she is up to 15). Start with the first one and then go forward.the characters are amazing and the stuff they get into will make you laugh out loud. Janet writes about one a year. Honestly, they are the funnest books you will EVER read. It's like eating chocolate cake.

My sister got me hooked on the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. I love them, they are funny and well written. I just started buying them a couple months ago and I'm already on book ten. Great books to read.
